Wrap up November 2024
The meetup was another great success for the vintage community. I am humbled with the amount of people that come and their hardware they show off. Again this is truly a great friendly community which I am happy to help bring together.
I am guessing there where at least 30 people here again with 16 on the sign in sheet. There was a wide range of machines from the late 70s to more modern machines. I am always happy to see what makes other excited.
Thank YOU all for making this another successful event! I know I couldn't have done it without you all.
Summary
I did a better job of my own personal goal of talking to more people and seeing what they brought to show up. I know I didn't see or talk to everyone but was happy to be able to talk to who I did.
I was very happy to see the good Amiga showing with a re-Amiga 3000 and 4000. While I like all machines you all know Amiga's are very close to my heart. I sadly missed the 1200 that was there and I had my A1000 with a Pi-Storm setup in the far corner.
There was a little reel to reel tape music there which was I found fascinating to learn about.
I think the oldest machine here was an S100 based machine from the late 70s that had a prototype sound card. The story was great how the owner had to reverse engineer the interface to make it work.
Take a look at the photos included to find your great memory which you could possibly learn from at our next meetup.
